The Time Travellers - Curriculum based living history days for Schools

About Us

Neil Heasman

As a former Primary School teacher and graduate of Heritage, I wanted the opportunity to offer children more hands-on and active experiences than I was able to as a class teacher. I was employed by The Royal Albert Memorial Museum  (RAMM) in Exeter to help develop, and deliver, their extended learning experiences for taking out to schools and within St. Nicholas Priory.

After redeveloping and extending the range of historical experiences, these are delivered independently on behalf of RAMM.

I continue to be employed by RAMM, part time, as their Family Learning Officer.

Philippa Wood

A former colleague at RAMM, Philippa was a Family Learning Officer and has a wealth of experience with children, including in Early Years. Her speciality, and enthusiasm, is pre-history and she delivers the Stone Age to Iron Age and the Ancient Greece Experiences.

Tom Armstrong-Frost

Tom joins us in 2016 and brings a wealth of enthusiasm and knowledge. He has always been interested in history and spent most of his formative years visiting castles, abbeys and other historic sites. He first started in historical shows through being a keen archer and then went on to squire for Medieval and Tudor Jousts. Since then he has learnt to ride and now performs in shows up and down the country both on foot and on horseback. As well as live shows and performances, one of his main interests is making history accessible and fun for children within their school setting.

Tom can independently offer other experiences to The TimeTravellers so do enquire when he visits your school.
